Homeschooling is good for your child's health

In a recent study  it was found that homeschooled children often have better sleep habits than their publicly schooled counterparts.

While the article pointed to earlier required start times by public schools, combined with the fact that many teens don't get to sleep until 11pm, there may be more to this than just timing.

At a Wired Kids Summit in Washington DC in 2010 many kids reported taking their wireless devices to bed with them and making sure that they never missed a text.  Parents today are not only battling early class start times for kids but also the fact that many kids now have fully wired / wireless bedrooms.

This study about children's sleep habits is a good starting point for the discussion of healthy brain development and the education of our children.
